About The Centered Canine
At The Centered Canine, the motto is simple: “Where balance leads to trust, and trust leads to freedom.”
I believe every dog—and every owner—can enjoy a calmer, more connected life together when the right foundation is in place. My goal is to help you and your dog not just know what to do, but feel confident and centered in a world of uncertainty.
My own journey started with my high-energy working dog, Murphy, who turned out to be my greatest teacher. What I thought was “just dog ownership” became more powerful than two decades of therapy - it taught me patience, curiosity, and how to show up as a steady leader who knows how to balance life, learning, and connection. As a yoga teacher, I see every day how much overlap there is between mindful movement and mindful training. Both are about presence, balance, and trust - and both can transform how we show up in the world.
I believe dogs should experience life as it really is: sometimes joyful, sometimes challenging. By teaching clear behaviors and building a calmer state of mind, I help dogs and their humans move through those experiences with confidence. My mission is to help you create the kind of relationship where your dog feels safe, fulfilled, and deeply connected to you.
Whether you’re raising your very first puppy, helping a rescue settle in, navigating busy city life, or simply wanting a stronger bond with your best friend — you don’t have to do it alone. I’d love to help guide you and your dog toward more balance, more trust, and more freedom together.
Training starts with you 💛
